Rapid fire cricket

Some of Frogs class took part in a Rapid Fire Cricket Tournament at Joyce Frankland Academy Newport on Thursday 6th June.

‘We had one game. The score was 42-63 to Newport Primary.  Rapid fire cricket is a bit different to normal cricket. You have hoops and the bowler has to tell the fielders who is going in the hoops and the other fielders have to collect the balls before the batter gets too many runs.  You are not allowed to run with the ball, you have to pass it to the people in the hoops.  Once all the balls have been collected and in the hoops the batters have to stop.’
