Over two hot days, 12 children in year six took their bikes, first to the playground and then (when it was deemed safe) to the roads!  Children learned important safety skills like how to navigate a junction.  This forms part of their transition work ahead of secondary school. Russell said, ‘We looked at junctions and when to look back, passing parked cars and signalling. Right at the end of the training we went down Rook End Lane to practise our skills. I enjoyed it a lot.’
